C of E priest pelted with pasta after encouraging parishioners to avoid starving to death

Isn't this all the wrong way round? Busybodies worrying about folk so poor they have to steal to eat, thereby risking a criminal record, instead of addressing the problem that puts them in that position? Weird.
Oh, and it's so very British that the pasta (spaghetti and ravioli) is all canned garbage. Mama mia!
